I have a 2000 S2000 dead stock and almost perfect condition with 21,000 miles. Love everything about the car except the stereo. In a perfect world I would: 1-have great sound, 2-keep the left hand dash control, 3-not have to cut the car (probably not possible). I have 2 iPods and do not really care about CDs (storage problem). Cost is not really an issue but I don''t want to waste money. Thanks, Drew

Steve, thanks but as you probably know the existing system really does suck all the way around. So I'm looking for someone to tell me (for instance): "Buy these or these speakers, get tweeters like these, have this deck installed with or without this amp and be sure the audio dealer has this wiring harness to connect to the controls on the left." Or perhaps the answer is "Upgrade to the 2006 factory system, it is 100% compatible to your 2000 S2000 and sounds GREAT!" Perhaps you do not have this much experience with this issue? I would LOVE to pay you to solve this dilemma for me!

Honestly, no, I don't have any experience with upgrading from the factory systems, but I do have experience with how vanilla your system is (I feel your pain).

What I've done is opted out of this question and hopefully one of my fellow Experts can handle this one for you.

Good luck and happy motoring!
