looking at buyihg a salvage Ridgeline Honda.. 2K miles almost new.. but got into water... windows wont go up or down...a good price... guys says it runs... does need some work but being so new would it be worth a gamble... price is about half of a new and it is a RTL model

I am just a mom and have kids in college so I'm looking for a good deal but I don't want to be stupid... the car looks great.... should I take it to a dealership to be checked out and repaired the guy that has it has a body shop and says about 3K would fix everything if he fixed it. selling it for 15K would have a total of 18K tied up in the car ... any other suggestions?
