prelude dies while driving

the car will be going up the road and suddenly it dies. most times it will start right back up, other times i may have to make several attempts before it starts

thanks, i replaced the fuel filter and still have the same problem. if it were a fuel problem, wouldn't it spit and sputter like it was running out of gas while i am driving. it just all of a sudden quits

It can act up in different ways, the starting fluid test is the quickest, easiest, and cheapest way to determine if it's fuel related. If it's not, you will need to test for spark, but it sure sounds fuel to me.
