FOR HONDA INSIGHT 2000 I AM USING A SERVICE MANUAL IMA 12-5 I AM USING A SNAP-ON SCANER I NEED THE CODES OUT OF THE IMA UNIT. I CONNECT THE SCS TO THE HDS. NO BLINKING OF THE IMA LIGHT. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET THE CODES. THANK YOU

I HAVE THE SCS SERVICE CONNECTOR. THE HDS IS AT THE FUSES PANEL.

THE SAY HOOK SCANER USE THE JUMPER CONNECTOR TURN ON IGNITION SWITCH ON (II) NOW IS THE IMA LIGHT BLINK NOW AT THIS TIME?

I see that you are reading the service manual word for word. Its says hook up the HDS or in your case the snap-in scanner. Short the SCS conector.

In the HDS function menu you need to actually activate this by clicking on it. I am not familiar with the snap-on scanner so i cant tell you where to go in the menus to find it. It may not even be possible with it. Just plugging the scanner up to the car wont do what you are thinking it should.
