I have a 1995 Honda Del Sol with approx 65,000 miles. It was running fine until one day it suddenly stopped in the middle of the street. I got it over to the side and it started again, however, the check engine light was on. I decided to take it directly to get the oil changed but before I went two miles the engine started making a noise, so I pulled into the Firestone dealership and told them what had happened. The man looked at dip stick and said that there was metal in the oil and I had a severe problem. I asked him to change the oil so I could get it home and he refused, stating that would make them responsible. I had the car towed home and it set for some time in my garage. Being a widow I have gotten stung many times by car repairs and was afraid to take it in at that time because of the pos cost. I later had oil chnged, they said sludge was problem, but I still get engine noise after a few minutes. Could this be oil pump? What is poss cost?
