1996 honda accord v6
it has 160,000 miles
the right door light illuminates

Alright, thanks for the information. Make sure the door(s) on the passenger side are shut properly. If so, you may have a failing Door Ajar Switch inside the door. The switch signals the mini computer to activate the dash warning lamp and illumiante the interior dome lamp. The fact that these two flicker, entails the door switches are faulty. To properly test this condition, you would take continuity tests of the door switche(s), in the open and closed positions.
