I have a brand new CRV w/ 1500 miles on it. While I was on the highway it was making a slight squeeking sound (for maybe 2 or 3 seconds) when I accelerated. It didn't do it everytime, ony occasionally...when I was in the 58-70 mph range. At first I thought it was when I was using the cruise control, but it did it a few times when I wasn't using the cruise control. What could this be?

It didn't even last the entire time I was accelerating, and like I said it didn't happen everytime I accelerated.

Okay. I doubt you really have any major problem. Being that the vehicle is so new you may just have a poorly adjusted belt on the engine. One other possibility, which was common onm the CRV's before yours, is a bad water pump bearing. These had a tendancy to make noise but with more frequency then what you are experiencing. IN my opinion it is prbably the belt. I would just be sure to take it back to the dealer and have them inspect it under warranty. Let me know if you have any other questions.
