Question

I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX and it won't ...

Sent to Honda Experts December 16, 2006 9:36 a.m.

I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX and it won't start. The car was running okay, and then all of a sudden it shut off and just won't crank back up. It has plenty of gas in it and all. A mechanic friend of mine checked it out and said that the motor turns over, but it's not getting any firing through the spark plugs or anywhere, what can I check. He put another distributor and ignition coil and all on it, and said that it may be the ignition module. I really think that it has jumped time, but he said that the belt seems to be fine even though he hasn't removed the cover on it to see if it has missing grooves in the belt. Is there anything else that can be checked out to see why it's not getting any firing at all. It's just not firing or igniting.

Is he sure the distributor is turning?
