Front brakes: Jack up vehicle. remove front wheels. Turn the wheel you are working on toward you to expose the brake caliper for easier access. Remove the bottom bolt in the caliper and pivot the caliper using the top bolt as the pivot point. Remove the brake pads. Use a large pair of pliers and squeeze the caliper piston back into the brake caliper. Install the new pads. Make sure that the inside pad has the brake indicator squealer located on the top of the brake pad. Swing the caliper back down and install and tighten the bolt. Do the same for the other side.
Rear brakes: Jack up vehicle and remove the rear wheels. Remove both bolts that hold the brake caliper on. Pull the brake caliper assembly toward the rear of the vehicle to clear the brake pads. Remove the old pads. Install the new pads, making sure that the brake pad indicator is going on the bottom of the inside pad. Use a large screwdriver and twist the piston of the caliper clockwise to tighten the piston back into the caliper. This piston is threaded and will not press into the caliper. It needs to be turned in until the piston bottoms out. Once the piston is tight the slots on the piston need to be straight up and down so that the groove of the piston will slide on the small tab in the middle of the inside pad. Slide the caliper back on and tight the bolts back onto the caliper.
Hope that helps. I can supply pictures but not until I change computers tonight.
